I enjoyed my apple jack very much, not sure how easy it is to find a local cider mill in Ohio though, you'll have to get unpasteurized cider for it. The first batch was bottled as an apple champagne, the second batch as apple jack, and the third batch was fermented with tons of sugar and some high potency yeast and distilled into liquor. Apple champagne is pretty amazing.
Oatmeal and chocolate stout is good, extremely heavy and rich, I haven't brewed one myself yet but my uncle has done this and it was amazing.
Mail order juice will get you whatever you want for $30-60 bucks.
Fishing season starts in 2 weeks which means almost everyday I am going to be hiking through woods full of teaberries. However, I hear it's nearly impossible to extract the stereotypical teaberry flavor from natural teaberries. I had teaberry wine b4 that you could blatently tell was those artificial candy and not the real thing.
How many meads have you done b4?
