i worked 6 hours into my 8.5 hour shift,

asked to go on my lunch and he asked me to wait a couple hours.

@ 4 hours you are required to take a break (10 min by law)
@ 6 hours you are required to take a lunch
i believe the only exceptions are jobs like waitress or other industries where work requires prolonged consecutive hours of work
grocery store does not qualify

at most i take my full lunch, i have been forced to finish a display/stock something etc. when i am on my lunch

and i am also in union local 1 or w/e so thats bullshit

6 hours gets you a lunch

1 15 min per 2 hours

where i work if you have up to a 6 hour shift you get one 15 minute break. if you work 7+ hours you get an hour lunch paid, for 8 hour shifts there are two 15 minute breaks in between

All this discussion of people who actually work for a living is making me sick.

I show up 30 mins early to get a good head start on a day filled with mind numbing tasks such as: 3 shit breaks at 25 mins a piece, 100+ dc poops, browsing Internet, reading the news, checking homebrewing forums, talking about beer with coworkers and fighting the desire to sleep.

However, every 4 hours I am required to make it look like I am doing work for 15 mins so I pull an Oracle or SQL book out my drawer and rest it upon my desk while I pick my nose. Times are rough...no?
