@ John

Is that just like a download for 7 Home Premium or do they send you the discs [etc]? Because if I buy a new PC it's most likely coming with that already installed; would have to go through a "gaming pc" company or build my own to not have software already installed (pretty sure Dell, etc. doesn't let you select that you don't want preinstalled bullshit on your PC).

probably a download, but its an ISO file that you burn to a cd so its the same thing essentially
yes if you bought a premade pc it would have an operating system pre installed, so theres no point in purchasing an OS now if you are buying a prebuilt pc some time in the foreseeable future

lol, Windows 7 Upgrade program (for shits and giggles on this PC) says:

You will need to perform a custom installation
Your graphics card will not be able to run Aero
Your computer does not have enough storage space
Windows 7 will no longer include Microsoft Outlook

x86 is 32 bit

that means you are running a 64 bit OS but most of your programs dont utilize it

call MS, tell em you have a copy of 7 you are reinstalling and it is saying the license is in use, (ofc you have to be installing it and getting this message) they will ask for some code that pops up, you give it to them, they give you a code. That = free license. Has worked for me 3 times when XP came out and 4 times since I got Vista Ultimate 64.
Guarantee it will work again once I get a copy of 7 ult 64

ps find me a $15 copy so I can avoid the hassle
