Are you talking about entering judging or what? If you were to go I am assuming the east region which is like 30 mins from me?

I'm not BJCP certified but I hope to be within the next 2 years. I was on the books for taking the test this month but had to decline because I'll be in Boston the day of the test.

Have you ever entered your own brew in a competition of this magnitude? For $14 a nonmember entry I clearly wouldn't send in more than 1 or 2.

However, I think I will wait until I get my scores back from a regional competition I entered that will be judged this weekend before I contemplate entering this one.

Oh, this tripel I do I may enter but nothing I have really thought worthy. Also you do not need to be BJCP to judge in a competition and most only have 1 BJCP judge per flight with non BJCP there to supplement.

The whole idea of BJCP interests me but I called bullshit and threw in the red flag when this "free program" wanted a $250 donation in support of the people sponsoring the event...

A nonprofit organization of volunteers who require a downpayment on a $50 test and $200 for the sample kit that is provided "free for individuals studying for the test."

Any of the things I mentioned above make sense?
