Have you ever entered your own brew in a competition of this magnitude? For $14 a nonmember entry I clearly wouldn't send in more than 1 or 2.
However, I think I will wait until I get my scores back from a regional competition I entered that will be judged this weekend before I contemplate entering this one.
Oh, this tripel I do I may enter but nothing I have really thought worthy. Also you do not need to be BJCP to judge in a competition and most only have 1 BJCP judge per flight with non BJCP there to supplement.
The whole idea of BJCP interests me but I called bullshit and threw in the red flag when this "free program" wanted a $250 donation in support of the people sponsoring the event...
A nonprofit organization of volunteers who require a downpayment on a $50 test and $200 for the sample kit that is provided "free for individuals studying for the test."
Any of the things I mentioned above make sense?
