my girlfriend and i finally have a lease coming our way. 2 bedroom apartment, kitchen, porch, and living room/dining room attached.

so i wanna try this home brewing stuff, now i wont be in a dorm, but the lady says that only if it doesnt smell, cuz we dont have a basement/spare room/garage.

is it very smelly? if it isnt that bad, then i would love to get started this summer, and will be pestering you for good recipes. you would get credit, ofc.

edit: i spell worse than john, sometimes

You can have smells and messes ofc but you can also keep those to a minimum if at all with the proper precautions.

I recommend spending 15$ on getting radical brewing as your first step.

Yea some but that is not something you necessarily need from a book. If you understand the process you can make your own or find plenty online.

Also, dose the wife drink? Because if so you can make something she likes to drink.

Then just know when you need a blow off and if you forget, baking soda will be your best friend.

Just watch out that there are a few strains of yeast that can put off a bunch of sulfur during fermentation but otherwise you will be fine.
