i'm neither american nor care for the politics of either party but if i had to choose one i'd probably flip a coin since they're clearly radically different; they're just opposed to one another on the same basic retarded issues.

i love how libertarians can just pick and choose which points they want government, and on which points they dont. and often they dont overlap with other libertarians.

no its clearly
your champion cause is less government, yet inside of each person is a specific want for government for certain things and clearly others. so its the new trend to say you are libertarian because everyone has things they want the government for and things they do clearly.

So basically you're trying to mesh human psychology with political ideology? At any rate, I've never been one to go with trends, so og;dc if suddenly people are mistakenly jumping on my political band-wagon, only do realize they don't have a clue what they are talking about.

im just taking the opposite view point for the sake of taking the opposite view point. but it does makes sense that people gravitate to the logic of less government but its impossible for every libertarian to have the same topics they do and dont want control on. most people are infact morons (aka uneducated, but moron just makes me feel better) when it comes to politics, and just pick 2 or 3 topics they either really believe in or that have a personal impact on their life and swear up and down that that is the correct path.

Fair enough on that last point.

And it's sad but true that the majority of the populace is indeed uneducated, ignorant, and apathetic, aside from a few "bullet points" that pique their interest.

my dad is a perfect example
in the 80s/90s he was a democrat. pro union all the way. because he was in a union, a union directly benefited him, so its pretty easy to 1+1. they he married my step mom in 91. the conversion, although extremely slow, was about to begin.

step mom comes from moderate wealth, became pharmacist, and did good for herself. together they have quite a nice piece of pie in land etc. but back when my dad was still a skilled tradesman he used to get in arguments with marys family about unions and who actually makes industry strong, the owner or the skilled tradesmen. my dad would get so pissed because they thought an employee is just a hired gun, trained by the company, and could be replaced at any time by other hired guns.

needless to say it was comical to grow up listening to them. today, 20 years later, my dad is retired, lost 30% of 401k in the last 2 years, and hates the government for every dollar they take from him. he no longer gains anything from any decision the government makes unless his gain is because they decided to clearly take something. and im fairly certain my dad is just a microcosm of the baby boomers and as they retire they no hate anyone taking anything from them because its theirs, even though much of what the working class has is because they were "taking" it from the factory owners for 30 years.

i like irony

I've never been a left leaning person when it comes to economics, but then that's because in general their policies are full of fail.

I am a left leaning person on social issues though, and always will be. People should have the right to do whatever they so please, providing they are clearly infringing on another persons rights.

if you want specifics, i like Paul Ryan (R - Wis) if you want to look at what he's about

i really hope he considers running for president and landsliding obama

isnt that what every other party does

its clearly a matter of picking and choosing, people SHOULD be able to be morally and financially responsible without the involvement of the government, however going to war and building roads/schools as an individual is a bit more tricky

Define "filthy rich". What income bracket would that be?

i like how people think wealth is anyone who makes over 100 grand

who are you stereotyping? who are these "people"?

you said ur dad's wife came from moderate wealth, because pharmacist. i was like LOL wealth yea ok

typo, became* pharmacist
and this does clearly matter, that poop was just to show a point, i feel that most people choose what benefits them, clearly what is the moral high ground or what is "best"

and the more people i meet, the more i hear people talking, the more this is proven true.
