In physics, the gyromagnetic ratio (also sometimes known as the magnetogyric ratio in other disciplines) of a particle or system is the ratio of its magnetic dipole moment to its angular momentum, and it is often denoted by the symbol γ, gamma. Its SI units are radian per second per tesla (s-1·T -1) or, equivalently, coulomb per kilogram (C·kg-1).

The nuclear magneton is the natural unit for expressing magnetic dipole moments of heavy particles such as nucleons and atomic nuclei. On the countrary, the dipole moment of the electron, which is much higher as a consequence of much higher charge-to-mass ratio, is usually expressed in corresponding units of the Bohr magneton.

In quantum physics, the spin-orbit interaction (also called spin-orbit effect or spin-orbit coupling) is any interaction of a particle's spin with its motion. The first and best known example of this is that spin-orbit interaction causes shifts in an electron's atomic energy levels (detectable as a splitting of spectral lines), due to electromagnetic interaction between the electron's spin and the nucleus's electric field, through which it moves.

The Pauli exclusion principle is a quantum mechanical principle formulated by Wolfgang Pauli in 1925. In its simplest form for electrons in a single atom, it states that no two electrons can have the same four quantum numbers, that is, if n, l, and ml are the same, ms must be different such that the electrons have opposite spins. More generally, no two identical fermions (particles with half-integer spin) may occupy the same quantum state simultaneously. A more rigorous statement of this principle is that, for two identical fermions, the total wave function is anti-symmetric.

In computational physics and chemistry, the Hartree–Fock (HF) method is an approximate method for the determination of the ground-state wave function and ground-state energy of a quantum many-body system. The Hartree–Fock method finds its typical application in the solution of the electronic Schrödinger equation of atoms, molecules, and solids but it has also found widespread use in nuclear physics.

In statistical mechanics, Bose–Einstein statistics (or more colloquially B–E statistics) determines the statistical distribution of identical indistinguishable bosons over the energy states in thermal equilibrium.

In quantum mechanics, a stationary state is an eigenstate of a Hamiltonian, or in other words, a state of definite energy. It is called stationary because the corresponding probability density has no time dependence.

As an eigenstate of the Hamiltonian, a stationary state is clearly subject to change with time. This originates in Schrödinger equation which exactly holds for closed systems

Since this is a task toilet, I feel it is my civil duty to somehow derail it and talk about beer.

depends what your final goal is. if grad school, just go to lesser school but make sure u get a 4.0. if u only want undergrad go to the better more expensive school cuz it really matters for a job
