How do I set up a USB audio interface (Digidesign MBox 2) to act as my primary sound card so I can use it for vent?

on vent there should be an option to choose what you want your sound output to be, at least that's how i do it for my headset

If you want to use speakers and headset its tricky though, I cant remember how I got it to work at times...something in sound settings in control panel

they have to be different types of ports, ie usb and audio iirc

Doesn't come up as an option, and the included drivers don't do that. Can't find drivers to make it work as an all purpose sound interface, so right now it only works with ProTools (lol).

i think this is correct

i can have music play out speakers cause its audio port and my headphones only work if they are in the usb slot, if i plug them straight into another audio jack they override the speakers

it's clearly a simple usb mic or headphones though, I just want to use a recording interface as a sound card and I have no idea how to do so if it's possible, or if it only works with PT.
