i dont remember the beginning too much, but i do remember that i was aware of the entire dream. what i do vividly remember is this.

i was with gary pie and his what i presume to be gf driving, gary in passenger seat, me in back passenger seat. it was very surreal, like knowing a terrible thing is about to happen but also being calm and collected about it, half watching from above.

anyway we were driving on these huge highways, nearly deserted, nighttime. its a hilly, german autobahn looking road, and she starts driving fast enough for us to start lifting off the ground at the peaks. i tell her to slow down, gary says nothing, she says nothing, like they are clearly actually there anymore. but im still calm, just like "hey, slow down". well this continues about 4 more times with our jumps getting higher and farther. i said to slow down one more time, and then gary did too, and at that moment we jump this huge hill that was seemingly cut out of a mountain with a curve ahead. well we slam into the mountain from this jump, and thats when it goes to a cut scene of the wreck. garys gf is standing to the side, gary has a bloody head, and over where my body would be is some text flashing "delimbed".

so im like "delimbed, thats great. i told you to slow down and now now im delimbed. thx" then it cuts back to me in the back seat looking at the bones below my knee sticking out straight up and my foot just dangling, only being held from the skin still connected. im still repeating "im fucking delimbed, this sucks what the fuck" over and over. the paramedics show up and the guy is asking me if im able to get our of the car ok. when i get up my foot falls off, i scream "fucking delimbed" and wake up in a shock short of breath. but during the entire dream i was calm outside of being angry that i lost my foot.

:donno:
tl;dr delimbed

I had a dream last night that someone duped my hops and mine poofed...

And my mother in law's boyfriend died of anal cancer but that's clearly nearly important

The more important question is why were the two of you letting a woman drive?

While Moximoose is clearly the best decision maker when it comes to getting behind the wheel, he makes a good point.

I don't usually drink and drive long distances where I would be in a scenario where I was drunk behind the wheel and clearly know the officer who pulled me over. Our local cop stops by my house when I am brewing and takes home samples

it's more likely that your brain was weeding out unnecessary memories and using information from the day to create a story so you can remember the more important stuff; that is, you were probably gaming yesterday. were u gaming with gary? maybe you were just talking to him on vent? that would explain how he was in the dream or at least why he was talking in the dream.

the car/mountain stuff might be more metaphorical. donno about how the blood comes into play, etc. sometimes that stuff relates back to our fears or desires in some way.

--------------------

last n8 in one of my dreams we had big cats for pets. the jaguars were whiter than they should be, and for some reason they were bigger than the leopards. and they (the jaguars) were being rly aggressive with me.

another dream was about how some fictional neighbour had vicious "planet of the apes"-like apes for pets and i could tell they were aggressive/bad when the neighbours couldn't figure it out, so when some ape was flying (using a flying machine) around with their kids, i tried to help them. but ofc they were pretty high up. at some point in the dream i was in a room that reminded me of my parents' house's bathroom, looking down on the apes. one of them came up and hit the window or threw a rock at it or something, which was where i was really sure something was wrong with them.

---------------------

i dream every night and i remember the details of almost every dream. most of the dreams are pretty odd; what's interesting to me about those two is that they at least had in common the idea of something wild being aggressive. i don't know what it's all "about" but caden has been a bit aggressive lately when i try to out him in bed. o also have an aggressive cat at home.

its odd how dreams take a single emotion and uses totally random image and makes an event out of them. i generally dont have dreams where im outside of myself. and this was far more vivid than anything i can remember having for quite some time. i couldnt sleep last night, got up, went to the couch, turned on the tv, and laid there until about 12:30. i know i had 2 separate dreams before this one, or at least 2 parts before this, and i remember telling myself that i need to remember this. i also tried to clearly direct my dream but to be a spectator.

all in all just a very weird feeling when i woke up.

kitchen sale (j/k ofc)

i hate dreams where i lose control of the storyline. the worst is waking up temp paralyzed in REM sleep. stupid body gets it wrong sometimes--paralysis during dreams is clearly supposed to carry into being away.

you can
i often get "lucid dreams"--where you generally have control over the dream, and you know you're having the dream

things like looking yourself in the mirror or turning on lights are hard to do right in dreams, but people with lucid dreams can try such things to help them tell if they're dreaming or clearly (i don't usually test dreams but i've had a few where i got confused because i would think i'm awake but then come up with something really odd...which is weird since as a lucid dreamer u normally know you're dreaming; but i think stuff like that would be done to "test" if the dream is a dream or clearly). i would never look into a mirror during a dream because at some point i can lose control in my dreams, and when sudden things get introduced or if i change my mind about something in some way, it often ends up being something that scares the crap out of me (a la night terrors/nightmares). so looking into a mirror would be an unwise choice, just in case it triggers some loss of control. dunno about light switches but the lights are usually on in my dreams.

the last time i had lucid dreams regularly was when i kept a dream journal and wrote down my dreams that i remembered as soon as i woke up

i should start doing that again

i was with gary pie and his what i presume to be gf driving, gary in passenger seat, me in back passenger seat.  it was very surreal, like knowing a terrible thing is about to happen but also being calm and collected about it, half watching from above.

weird, this is almost exactly how i felt when my friends and i went driving whilst tripping on acid

did something bad happen?
