So I have 10 gallons of awesome RIS that is going to get kegged up with oak chips and vanilla beans.

My point is, how much you think?
Oak by ounce and beans by number of beans

a single vanilla bean cut long ways and turned inside out per 5 gallons is usually pretty ofc

oaking is completely depending upon how long you plan on letting it age and what kind of flavor you are shooting for

i find that 2 oz of medium toast cubes in 5 gallons makes a nice hint of oak whereas 5 oz of heavy toasted cubes turns your beer into a campfire inside your mouth

the good thing is, you can add the cubes and check every week until it gets where you want. yank them out when it gets to where you like it, if the oak is way over the top it will mellow with age

let me know what you end up doing and how it goes ofc

i have 5 gallons sitting on both vanilla and oak right now as well

basically i want to use enough oak so that i do clearly overpower the beer in the keg or have to bottle sooner than desired in order to get a more even product.

Than go with like 3-4oz medium or light toast on the cubes and 2 beans.

You are using cubes right? Cuz chips have more surface area and you would use less. Also what means of sanitation you using for said beans and oak? If boiling the oak, you can proelbay increase the total by an ounce.

Change of plans a bit, still going oak and beans but adding 2 gallons of braggot to 5 gallons of the RIS because I forgot I owed my buddy 5 gallons still.

Should be pretty ofc
