Vandy has the 17th ranked Law program in the nation, which is tops in the SEC. Georgia is tied 28th, and 'Bama is 38th.
Meanwhile in the (Big 12 really) Michigan and Northwestern are both above Vandy, Iowa clocks in at 26th (who would have thought that?), Indiana is 27th, Wisconsin is at 28th with Georgia, Ohio State is at 34th..... really no comparison.

I would compare others, but clearly really in the mood to get heavy with the research right now.
Money + exposure + facilities + education (clearly everyone goes to the NFL, even the stud 5 star prospects) will = Recruiting shifts. If the SEC sleeps and doesn't look to expand, yes recruiting will be affected. I'm clearly saying they are done for. I am saying they need to be proactive or they WILL be left behind. Mega conferences are coming. The Big 12 got a 1 year reprieve from collapsing, maybe a 2 year at best. It'll be a power grab, they don't want to be left out of the loop. Heck the Big 12 is trying to convince Ark to come to their side, as they have plenty of history as part of the Southwestern conference.
It's going to be an interesting few years.
I feel the Pac 10 will snag most of the Big 12 players. OSU will push HARD for Tx. Probably wind up with Mizzou, ND, and Pitt (geographic fit, same type of mindset), then hope for TX to make 16.
Big East and ACC might just form together, or if the SEC gets serious, they will raid both conferences for the southern schools. Left overs will try and patch a conference together from the remnaints.
