Space out your kcal though, if you take in too many kcal in one sitting your body will just do what it needs to to get it out of your system in the normal time frame, meaning you'll shit out most of the nutrients instead of abosrbing them.
32 oz of milk (if 2%) is already 480 cals, and depending on the protein powder you're adding 600-800 or more kcal on top of that. Also the body usually will only absorb so much protein at one time, meaning the rest is just excreted after being filtered by the kidneys.
