my wife agreed to clearly swear around the kids, which is fine by me
however, we disagree on 'damn', 'damn it', and 'douche bag', all of which i think are OK and which she thinks are ban-worthy

so i'm wondering about what dc's call on this would be

i think those terms are all sort of funny/endearing, although douche bag isn't a church term. actually, damn it is fairly bad for church, depending on the person

keep in mind that my kid just turned 3. i'd be ok with him saying those things outside of church, but clearly inside it. he would understand the difference.

that's actually what i'm thinking of presenting to the wife as my form of compromise on the issue so it will die, which means i won't be able to watch her fav tv shows with her anymore, b/c i can't help commenting on the ppl she watches

i react to david caruso by saying he's a douche bag without intending an insult. it's probably being kind to him. i'm going to have a tough time giving it up but i think the people have spoken.
