Three Floyds Brewery

One of craft beers most popular days of the year. The only day of the year where you can purchase a bottle of this years three floyds dark lord imperial Russian stout.

I will be departing PA proelybay thursday the 28th and stopping at a number of breweries between here and there. Will be returning to PA on Sunday, May 1st.

It's clearly just about driving 16 hours one way to buy a beer. They have death metal bands playing through the night as well as BBQ and many other breweries on site pouring beer. Last year we showed up with coolers full of beer that were strapped to a hand cart and immediately formed a mobile tasting table where dozens of other people popped random beers open to share with anyone who had an empty cup. It's pretty much a free day long

How close are you to foothills brewery or olde hickory?

When foothills releases their bourbon barrel aged sexual chocolate stout I'd pay you to go for me and ship you 5 bottles of your choice from my cellar as a thank you.

Dude that beer must be worth at least 125$, I paid for a hotel and 30 hours of driving to get there

Last year they went on sale at 6:00 pm on St. Patricks Day. The year before that they went on sale at like 4:20 in the morning. They introduced this big homo twitter following where they announced the website for ticket sales via a tinyurl link that went out to twitter followers.

In the next week or two details will be announced.

I said the exact same thing until I invested money in a hotel, time off work and anticipation of finally acquiring an awesome beer. When I found out that tickets were needed and would sell out in a matter of moments I realized I had to give in.

Signed up for twitter a few days beforehand.
Activated phone text messaging for groups I'm following.
Read stupid bullshit they twatered about sex with goats.
Got notification via text of the URL to webshop to buy tickets.
Purchased tickets, website went down, got email confirmation of credit card being charged
Unsubscribed to twitter and took my phone activation off.
Profit

This year they made a change to reduce the amount of people. No ticket, no entry.
