New England Brewing has been canning all along and I have no problem with it. Old Gandhi-Bot tastes great, and it really hadn't changed much. Most of the metallic taste that people get from cans is from beer being improperly stored - temperature changes really bring out a metallic taste in beer made with adjuncts, and clearly a lot of people who sell beer even know to make an extra effort to get fresh beer and store it properly. A coating of food-grade polymer separates the beer and the metal, and the beer doesn't even touch metal inside the can. Cans are cheaper, easier to store and ship, thus make it easier for Stone and Dogfish to have their beers sold halfway across the country.
i dont see what canning and new england has to do with DFH and Stone backing out of certain distribution areas... but i will play along
new england brewery doesn't even distribute outside of the direct new england area. they use to come to PA but they had an issue with cans exploding and they havent been back to the west or central side of PA since. only the eastern most part of PA gets NEBCO product
even places where they do distribute they sometimes dont send product (see also; how dan fucked the entire state of rhode island out of imperial stout trooper this year)
