Any sort of logical argument, reasoning, or persuasion doesn't matter unless you own massive media outlets or they want to cover what you have to say. My congressman (Jim Himes) is a former Goldman-Sachs executive who has 680,000 constituents, he didn't appear to take any influence when I spoke to him on behalf of 2000 students numerous times over the course of several years.
