A family of raccoons live in my wooded backyard. Aside from getting in the trash, they climb up on the roof at night and we can hear them scampering about and it is bothersome. My friend brought her dog over yesterday evening for a little party I was throwing and at some point during the evening the dog killed one of the raccoons and ate it in the bushes. It was dark when they left so nobody noticed until I saw the dead raccoon this morning.

Now my friend is freaking out that her dog may have rabies or something. So how do I clean up a dead animal, do I just throw it in the trash or should I bury it with honor or something?

p sure if you ingest rabies you are fine. scratches/bites etc are what spreads it.

If I just leave it out another animal will come buy and finish the job/get rid of the evidence?

I think it was the mother. The little ones weren't scampering last night...

eat the dog? is that a lascivious metaphor for cunnilingus? I have no concern for the dog, it belongs to a "friend" and is n o t (how childlike) my worry. I weep for the rights of the animal that lay slain, a senseless victims in the brutal war that is nature.

I love hot dogs. Does that count as eating a dog?

eat the dog, the dog's owner, your family, and the raccoons - no bothersome sounds from coons, kids, wife, or friends
i don't see a downside
