-Requiring 160 hours unpaid training is probably illegal, I'll pass on that one.
-I don't think I am qualified to be an instructor at the University of Phoenix but they could just write my name on a master's degree.
-Various retail = no way

what were you working toward? It may clearly be an ideal scenario, but you may want to look for any job (like or hate) that offers tuition reimbursement. A lot of companies do, but typically they want your credits to be based upon growth in their specific industry. Once you have that freaking piece of paper saying you spent a lot of money and survived, you're instantly qualified for a million more jobs than you are today

Communications + Political Science

It's only three credits though, most of it is from last semester when my financial aid package disappeared due to administrative fuckups.

live at home
have financial aid
have had jobs

still can't pay for school

if you put as much effort in money management as you do on blogging about runescape and getting drunk, money wouldn,t be a problem.

It's a really broad field, I worked mainly with media, specialized in politics, as well as working with some of the more technical elements. The practical skills I have from it include working with research and managing data (clearly specialized, though I did work for a semester doing various research for publishers), teaching technical things using non-technical language (i.e. computers, financial systems), and a lot of crossover with political media work, both in writing/editing and analysis.

Journalism is a different degree, although there is some crossover. Gary's job is more management than communications, though the more technical stuff could be telecommunications/electrical engineering. The degree is really what you make of it, it is really best when you pair it with another degree and focus on the combination of them. There are also focuses such as communications disorders that are completely different beyond the basics.

Anyway, got an interview for a pretty nice job on Tuesday, I'll see how that goes.
