im just an idiot mostly. this was the first time i used my grill since i moved and i was making burgers, so i turned the gas on and turned the knob to the "on" position to light it, but i didn't notice that all 3 knobs were on as well as the side burner. I pressed ignite button and the top of the grill flew open and a giant burst of flame went about 5 feet high and i melted the burner cover. just my sleeve caught fire, so nbd
