however i seriously doubt that jagex has made a magical new bot killer when they overhyped their previous bot detection to be ruthlessly efficient when in fact it does fucking nothing

Probably overhyped, but the majority of the players who are botting are using public bot scripts and talking about it in clan chats. They could probably hit six digits in bans simply by banning players who wore the default recommended cheap bot setup and did the same thing for 6/12/24 hours per day. It's so comically bad that they should really be able to pull it off.
