wouldnt worry too much, if he was vaccinated it should be fine. examine him for the bullseye rash ofc

then he will get some doxycycline if he has it and it will be fine

never had a dog who got ill from a tick, and my dogs have had 1000's

yea best way to pull em off, light match, blow out match, put still hot match on ticks body, 9/10 times they fall off

This is completely wrong. If the head is burrowed into the skin and you use a tweezers to pull it off, you risk breaking the head off under the skin and trust me that's a bitch. The match trick or rubbing alcohol suffocates them/burns them and they back out to move away.

The ticks you need to worry about are the very tiny brown ones. They carry Lyme. The larger black ones, clearly so much from what I understand.

Tis the time of the year. My friend went to the doc to get tested for Lyme disease. He had the ring around the area and cramping in his knee/ankle to the point where he couldn't walk.

Got a tick on my ass when i was younger. Dad got a knife, heated it up and press it. Then tweezers to get a little bit still stuck in.

If your dog is vaccinated for lyme disease that the main one. Like spencer siad just make sure it looks fine for a few days

just ripped a tick off my poor dog's ear.  anyone find these before? adam?

can your dog get diseases? how common is this? dog has vaccination for lyme disease but donno if i should still take him to the vet anyway

I hope you didn't 'rip' it off like you said.
Because the head of the tick might still be in your dog.
