I'm embarrassed to say it was because my mobo had clearly installed the driver for internet. I assumed Windows had done that, clearly the mobo disk

Gfx driver then Windows updates. Then steam, vent and start xfering data etc. Then setup Thunderbird for email (have clearly used this for 5+ years but I remember it ar the best alternative to Outlook and I hate using browser-based email).

copied from their website..

Our top-of-the-line Gateway One ZX6810-01 came equipped with an Intel Core 2 Quad processor clocked at 2.33GHz, 8GB of DDR3 RAM, a 1TB hard drive, ATI Radeon 4670 graphics card, and 1TB hard drive, all under a 23-inch full HD touch screen. The system also includes an integrated Hybrid TV Tuner, HD webcam, 802.11b/g/Draft-n Wi-Fi, and 5.1-channel audio support.

all in one, too

picked it up yesterday @joe
figured it wasnt too bad to start out on, might get into computer specs more :donno:

ya im gonna need to upgrade to a desktop.

ideally id get the cheapest rig that can play d3 on the highest settings possible with no lag while also using vent, having firefox open, and listening to music

dont need a monitor, can get OS cheap from hopkins

how much money would i need to get this? dont care if i buy 2nd hand graphics card, but would prefer intel chipsets

The new AMD chips with their integrated graphics should be able to handle D3, which would cut costs big time esp since they run cheaper than intel to begin with

Question Tim, did you do any 1080p playback with your old pc? If so how did it handle it? What would you want for the old parts?

It will run 1080p no issues....only started stuttering on real intensive games ....never an issue with vids though
No clue...clearly a whole lot since everything is 2yrs old. Throw me a fair offer

dont build me a build yet, im going to wait to see how the actual game runs on my macbook. if it can do no lag @ low settings with a full game, ill keep this

otherwise i would buy cheapest possible desktop that will run d3 max settings flawlessly

obviously something that could handle simultaneous vent, firefox open, movie watching, and itunes playing at the same time would be ideal, while under 500 bucks
