lol this was basically me, except it was a gateway @ best buy. i prefer clearly to deal with the unforeseen complications newegg/shipping/assembling could bring. i also hate waiting. drive to best buy, find computer, pay cash, put computer in car, drive back home, setup computer in 5 min. took less than an hour. but i would never purchase a warranty/installation disk service/geek squad or any other bogus services they offer hehe.

all the big box stores make money by having 7 of 10 essential computer parts be quality parts, advertise those parts and dont list the other 3. go to best buy and 75% of the computers on the display have integrated graphics, while they tell you how important a 1tb hard drive is for gaming, ohhhhhh

the fact that a 1tb disk isnt actually 1tb formatted doesnt matter, the point is they try to convince you that hard drive size makes any impact on game performance whatsoever

then they will offer a machine that actually has a video card in it, and they will put a 250gb hard drive in that (OHH, if you want cutting edge graffix, you want this one, but thats only got 250gb, better get the better model, "points to $1800 machine which is worth half that")

so basically, prebuilt computers at big box stores are shady used cars

hey, the people who buy the 250gb hard drives can run out of space, then they will bring their computers in to geek squad wondering why they cant install any more programs

we can charge them 200 dollars to install a new 40 dollar hard drive in their computer that should have been in there in the first place

better do a diagnostic virus sweep too, just to make sure thats clearly preventing you from installing more shit on your maxed out hd, thats another 30 bucks

by the way do you want the 3 year extended warranty in case our faulty parts break down, because they probably will, we cant help it thats just what happens!

i played beta and put everything on max settings and full screen. the game skipped every few seconds but it wasn't really too bad. i expected worse, i was pleasantly surprised. i left it on max settings but tried windowed mode (which i prefer), and re-sized it to 800x600 (same as d2 ofc). it played smooth as fuck actually. and that's still on max settings. maybe beta doesn't play the same as the full game? doubt it. but for now, everything went better than expected.

oh alright awesome! i had some shitty 80 dollar LG i bought on black friday a few years ago, and it shit out on me 10 months later. it had a 1 year warrenty and they discontinued it during the time i had it (cuz it sucked prolly). i sent it back and they sent me this instead

so if i wanted to dual monitor a desktop it wouldnt be a disgrace to buy another one
