Decided to go down with my family up here to Florida tomorrow.

Dad is getting a place for 2-3 days where we are staying.

Renting a car (first time ever, so excited) to drive down to see mom for 3-4 days while family is vacationing north of Naples. Will meet back up with later in the week to drive home.

Paid time off is amazing. I almost don't want to go because I have no life outside of work, but, alas, fuck that. I have plenty of time built up in my first year at the city.

when i start working (hopefully) next summer, i can count on 6 paid vacation week per year or it's 30 working days (weekends and holidays clearly included)
