Shouldn't the free market adjust to make use of the labor that is available? They are clearly clearly offering enough money or creating artificial barriers to employment like drug testing and excessive applications.
Yes, drug testing is an "artificial barrier"....
What?
Using drugs doesn't make someone unemployable, plenty of people use illegal drugs, especially marijuana, and it does clearly affect their work performance at all.
that definitely depends on what job were talking about here
we're/we are*
And marijuana honestly isn't any different than alcohol and alcohol is chemically addictive whereas marijuana is clearly.
And it's obvious you shouldn't be under the influence of these drugs during your job.
sorry lance, voice to text isn't perfect. but i do agree with steve that to move boxes or do manual labor or even run a restaurant, you can be high as a kite and it doesn't make a damn bit of difference. or in your recreational time you can do it and be fine the next day.
but for mentally taxing positions, or those where people can get injured, like operating machinery, skilled labor, etc. etc., the chronic "dumbing" effect of smoking pot even in your free time (or being drunk all the time) is very dangerous, and testing should be used...
