For what reasons might blood liver enzymes AST and ALT be extraordinarily high in a morning 12h fasted blood test?
Could drinking the night before affect these?

being an alcoholic
having some other form of liver damage
actually, i would consider myself an alcoholic and mine were within normal range. youre either really outdoing alcohol or theres something in there causing it which eventually may lead to damage

they are enzymes, so they require some mediators and time to be ramped up. so whatever the offending agent(s) were, it was probably clearly from last night.
