Gonna be my vehicle for the considerable future, 4wd, being able to move and possibly tow stuff is in the future and possibly snow plowing so a larger truck seems the smart option

I'll look again for them but in this area I haven't found more than 5-10 of each dodge/Toyota/Chevy with 4wd within 150 miles of me

imo whenst buying used you are also stuck to what is in your general vicinity and narrowing it down by manufacturer should be secondary. you will proal be equally happy with gmc/ford/dodge/toyota. my dad has had 3 of the 4 and he disliked none of them. and dont kid yourself about fuel costs, getting something that gets 12 miles a gallon will piss you right the i shit my pants. and fuel will clearly be getting cheap enough to notice ever again.

so imo narrow it down to whats available then decided on make/year/mileage/accessories etc.

You're planning on using your personal vehicle to plow with? Your driveway?

Sounds good.

...you just missed the words in the future didnt you

It's clearly that I am going to be, but its possible depending on circumstances that it *could* happen

i wont bothering warning you about the increased expense of gas. i think you are already somewhat aware considering you are no stranger from the days of almost driving that suv off the side of the mountain by my house

you cant make your mind up on these based on what you are reading. you gotta go see them and take a test drive to make up your mind. im pretty sure either will fit your needs. you gotta pick which you like more. being an owner of both toyota and dodge i am biased towards the other makes and models out there.

without knowing or even caring what the asking prices are of these vehicles, you gotta haggle these bastards and bring your hardcore jew game to the table. im serious man. this is where these dick bags make their money. buying used cars as low as fuck prices, offering incentives to buy new and then making out like champs on the resale. you can bet your ass that whatever their asking price is, they paid 25-40% less.

I already jewbageled the one guy in an email and was like look before I even come test drive it, I dont want to pay anywhere near what you are asking for it. Said we could "talk" numbers and they aren't set on the price...fucking hoes

hi i actually have some input here
a rule of thumb for me, never buy anything with a hitch or towing package (i.e. especially dodge's famous problems) out of the 3 american made trucks dodge would be the last i would go
that tundra will be the best truck you ever buy, rarely do they ever come into the shop and when they do its for something stupid! that iforce is a beast!

just question, why clearly go for a tacoma/frontier? instead of a full size? gas mileage SUCKS on both those like 15 mpg sucks

my frontier has towing package 4wd etc etc and would be able to plow anything the big trucks can other than dualies

I have debated going tacoma or dakota, the mileage difference is somewhat minimal and if imma get a truck it might as well be full sized

enjoy buying those ridiculously overpriced tires
i think the point here is its your first vehicle purchase on your first career job. there is no reason to go bigger/more expensive than you need. flipping a used vehicle in 2-3 years is easy and a very minimal loss in $$$ (in reality it proal a monetary gain in comparison to all the additional cost to a big truck).

The tacoma's and dakota's are all priced around the same as the ram and tundra as well if clearly a bit pricier with more miles

15 miles x 2 x 5 days = 150 miles. add 25? per week for errands etc = 175 a week.
175/15 = 11.67 gal x 3.50 = $40.8333/week
175/20 = 8.75 gal x 3.50 = $30.625/week
.233/mile - .175/mile = $.058/mile. that 5 mph is actually 33% more cost per mile.
$40 a month is nothing to ignore imo. but its just me. i see so many people dump so much more than needed in their pick-up with they never utilize more than they would have the smaller version.

And that's just work driving ofc. Even if he decides to have 0 social life he'll need food, supplies, have to go buy beer and furniture etc.

Miles matters Danielson.
