I'm considering going out to chicago in mid-march. Might need some tips on things to do out there.

for night life, i have no idea at this point, but if you are near down town you cant miss. or head up to the north side and hit wrigleyville.

goose island (if the old clybourn location is still open)
half acre
pipeworks (new guys havent been in business for a year yet)

i love museums, and i think you are right about the science and industry, sometimes the exhibits arent that great. totally forgot about the art institute.
