sometimes i sleep like 6 hours and feel great in the morning but if i do it the next night i feel like shit
over 8 hours is shit
under 4 hours is shit

I heard that it has to do with sleeping in 3 hour cycles, because that's the length of a full REM stage...or something.

1.5h are the more core cycle

and tbh nearly every sleep problem ive ever had went away when i set a mostly stable sleep pattern. your body seeks consistency. i can sleep 6 hours a day and feel better than i ever did sleeping 8 hours but going to sleep at sunrise etc.

I've had trouble sleeping for the past 3 years or so, sometimes it's worse than others.

Anyways, I just woke the fuck up, and ofc since I slept more than I normally do I feel
like going right back to bed.

what do you do during those 2 hours before work


exercise bike 30-45 min, shower, eat, iron shirt if need be, dishes if they are there, read, reddit, news, stare at the wall, sportscenter in background the whole time, decide "fuck it ill go in early again", stop and get coffee, get to work, check/reply emails, spend a few minutes socializing with various coworkers (this has been helpful in building good relationships with people who i have to tell what to do, they understand that i do infact respect them as people and enjoy hearing about their lives). then its 8 and im usually in full swing at that point.

etc

also helpful to make early calls to east coast, its tough to get much sameday accomplished unless i call early.
