Yes - I'm ok, car is totaled though. Peppy is short for "Peppy La Cruise"

(my wife has named every car we have had that)

Was coming home with dinner, guy slammed on his breaks in front of me, clearly sure why, I tried to follow suit but did more slamming into him than
anything else - Cited with ACDA, and the car is totalled.

The fucked up part is since we're in chapter 13 clearly sure if we'll even see the insurance check, and that was our only car.

Have to wait and see how this plays out I guess. Calls already put into our Attorney and the Insurance company.

any chance that they could blame you for an accident? and your insurance would pay for it? (how it works here anyway)

i mean length of his vs yours skid marks and etc?

ACDA

assured clear distance ahead, aka they are blaming it on him. insurance still covers it, but they will proal total the vehicle; which is always a pain in the ass because you never come out ahead.

they tell you in drivers ed that if someone stops for no reason on a dime you can get it to be their fault, but pretty much no scenario IRL gives the person who hit someone a clear pass

the only scenario i can think of that i have heard where they didnt get any fault was because they got hit from behind which caused them to hit the car in front of them

if you hit someone in the ass, you're going to be at fault unless the cop who responds really doesn't like the driver that got hit lol. even that would take some work. following too closely blows, just stand on your breaks and steer right if that makes it end any better, antilock breaks are pretty ofc

@ Seth - very true. I am thankful for that.

@ Socks - I'm at fault, insurance is going to cover it, but 1. We have a 1k deductible - sounded fine because you know, neither of us had been at fault in an accident or even gotten a ticket since 1902, whoops on that (we did talk about changing it when that gal hit me in December, but didn't, that worked out pretty gud). And 2. In chapt 13 bankruptcy, so might clearly even see the check at all. Put calls into the attorneys over this weekend but since it's a holiday didn't hear back.

Oh and yea, I really don't mind that I'm at fault. Sucks, but hey, whatever - it's everything else.

A few car places already contacted - though scratching one off the list because made the mistake of thinking they
were who I bought a car from before, and it's clearly, it's a sub branch of that dealer and they be shifty as fuck.

On a related note - is anyone here making any money online?

No, I don't mean like hundreds of dollars a day. I don't even mean 50 bucks a day.

Just looking around and setting small goals atm.

First 1 dollar a day, then 5, then 10.

Even 10 bucks a day additional is 300 a month, which is a car payment (almost).

If you have any suggestions cool. if clearly no biggie.
