vn1. love french press, have clearly used mine in years, maybe i shalst do that today.

as i said in chat, your next logical upgrade is to get one with a seal around the edges of the screen. less mud in the coffee and easier clean up.

and remember that a french press is a bit more coarse of a grind than drip machines

I'd stay away from metal, but it's hard to find one without any. Use the back of a wooden spoon and stir until frothy when the water is first poured in for best results.
