Also with it XP support up to 16GB of RAM. :D

Ya, it's nice since SP2 caps you at 3GB.

Is sp3 a beta, or final release? Everything I can google on it says that it is slated for early '08 release.

It's not beta. It's hidden on the Microsoft website, because it's a release candidate.

I saw it last time I was hunting around there, but when I google it I get nothing lol.

They don't want people to like XP more than vista. Maybe they should not have modeled it after some shitty mac os.

Common assumption is that this will be the last big update for XP in hope that most users will move to Vista.
