i don't think hof will be that tough for him. 427 HR's as a catcher, .308 lifetime BA. +2K hits. On par or better with most hof catchers, no? Too lazy to compare.

average at best defense. just because he can hit he will make it, but as a catcher goes he was not even the best of his era. fisk and carter were both 10x the catcher piazza was.
