oh man, this game is awesome.
I tried starting on Veteran or w/e the hardest setting is, and holy shit is it hard (especially with a noob for a partner).
Stepped it down to Medium, slightly less insane (you actually GET ammo) and it's still really fun and scary.
Someone else get it so we can XBL

Knife knocks them off balance
the key to ammo conservation is shooting a guy in the head and then using your X attack to Punch/Kick them to the ground, and then you can stab them when they're on the ground. of course, all this gets thrown out the window when you've got a giant chasing after you with a hammer/sickle thing wanting to ruin your day.

Almost done with Veteran Mode, Gatling Gun makes it nice and easy - still tough at some parts because machine gun guys destroy you.
