hellgate, age of conan, borderlands, etc just missed being great games

they were created by newly established/minor studios, therefore did not have enough resources to do it right

I mean that there are no legitimate candidates to ever dethrone WoW from the MMORPG market

wow is changing
old players are quitting, lots of new players are subscribing
which is why wow hasnt actually grown in subscriptions since wotlk launch

-> new game doesnt need to "kill wow", because theres plenty of non-wow players in the market

and with each new expansion everyone comes back to sample it, like i will ofc
