I played your warcry on YouTube last evening and 3 stray male cats showed up scratchng at my door to mate with you.

Just 1 question about that evening that I sadly missed... Was beer you purchased from the list responsible? :)

Also, on a partially related note...

DISO a break in the weather. It was single digits this weekend and I actually had to put a space heater INSIDE my kegerator to keep my beverages from freezing.

Well, it looks like thursday is the first day we are up and out of freezing temps but I'm cautious of sending that close to the weekend and having it sit.

Damnit someone needs to create a weather map that shows temps between two locations for days at a time.

I hate owing anyone money, that's the only issue I have. I'm also kinda in the dark here since your mystery receipt was not readable. I don't know what the total damages are.

about 100 for you, 60 for me. but oddly enough all of your bottle deposits were a buck a piece while mine were a nickle

the alaskan barley was friggin amazing, i could drink that daily
the russian river consecration was meh, maybe i need to treat that like wine and pair it to food, not just drink it ghetto style out of the bottle

i have not tried any of the deschutes ones yet, thought you may have said to let them age

I guess it all depends on wat you are after. The Alaskan barleywine already has been bottle conditioned for a year. Waiting longer to drink it wouldn't change it much. Usually the beers that I said to sit on for awhile taste really "hot" when fresh meaning very forward alcohol and hop taste. The longer they sit, the more they mellow out.

Beer nerds across the country would be in tears over you drinking consecration from the bottle. It's not really my kinda style...call me weird but I have a tendency to shy away from beer that has been described as tasting like "licking a horse's blanket."

Just out of morbid curiosity, did you at any point take a moment to look at what was on the inside bottom of the bottle?
