Intoxicated, with the madness....I'm in love with, my sadness.

Todays workout. (148.6 bw)

Warm up:

5.0 min walk (4.7mph)

Stretch

Squat

135 x 5
205 x 5
215 x 5
225 x 5
225 x 4

Dunno. Felt kinda weak on the squats today.

Bench

Bar x 10
135 x 3
175 x 5
175 x 5
175 x 4
150 x 8 (Bw test)

Last try @ 175 will be next Tues. If I don't get it...reset time.

Deadlift

135 x 5
225 x 5
275 x 2
300 x 1

Finally wised up and used a belt. Really helped, a lot. Also Dan thinks I'm old and a pussy for using one. But I'm sexy anyways.

Overtime Extras:

Dips

1 x 10
1 x 10
1 x 12

Chin-ups

1 x 10
1 x 10
1 x 4

Cable Cross Over Fly's

50 x 5
50 x 5
40 x 5

Cool Down

10:17 Bike Ride, 3.67 Mi distance...I'm convinced that when you go over 90rpm on the bike I've been using, you get the same distance as you would at 90 rpm. So that's gay.

FINAL NOTES:

Up and down workout. More happy than anything, but the weird energy lapses sucked. I think it's just due to the late start on my workout today, as had Mikeys open house for ECOT (E-Learning) and that meant didn't get into the gym until an hour after normal time.

SHUT UP YOU ARE A FUCKING MEAN MAN

:donno:

I haven't been using them on squats at all, will use one today during squats. Most certainly using them from now on with DL's and Power Cleans. Going to feel really stupid if the damned belt tacks on the weight on my squats as it did for my DL's and I haven't been using them.

Secret Destroyer....holds you up to the flame....

Todays workout. (149.0 bw)

Warm up:

5.0 min walk (4.7-4.8mph)

Stretch

Squat

135 x 5
185 x 5
225 x 5
225 x 5
225 x 5

Breaks were too long, was chatting and kinda messing around...but at least I did do the weight. Newest issue? Holding my breath until almost at the top.

Bench

Bar x 10
135 x 3
175 x 5
175 x 5
175 x 6
195 x 2

Sweet! We'll be going up one more time at least! Plus pumped about the 195... though if I knew I could get it twice I would have just tried 205 once.

Deadlift

135 x 5
225 x 5
275 x 3
305 x 1
315 x 1

I was scared of 315 after 275, so did the 305 first, but then 305 was easy enough that I went for it. Glad I did.

Overtime Extras:

Flat bench dumbell presses

70 x 6*
70 x 6*

Chin-ups

1 x 12
1 x 12
1 x 8

Dips

1 x 10
1 x 9
1 x 8

* = PR

Cool Down

5 Minute Bike Ride.

FINAL NOTES:

I'm pretty happy today about the workout overall. 1 more rep at 195 would have tied my former pr on benching at that weight, 315 is within 30-40 lbs of my pr there (can't remember if it was 345 or 355), and my squats are feeling better and better. Also my body-weight continues to climb upward, however slowly. Now I just need to get my diet in check if I want to keep the gains coming. I also should start incorporating cardio, like I said I was going to do oh... 2 months ago. Still going to be pretty happy for the next few hours...maybe not so much tomorrow lol.

No, that's the plan now.

I'm saying though I am debating resetting one last time, and then going to 5/3/1.

Also....back pics are hard as fuck to do by yourself. I need to lrn2bpro like you at taking them.

I should just have the misses take them next time...Then rape her afterwards. There was a big black dude who was trying to get dressed or whatever, and he kept moving out of the way of the camera, was very lol. I was just like "sorry dude, you don't need to move unless you want..."

Anyways.... empty stomach morning workout today. No clue yet if I'm going to drop down or not. Last reset garnered me 20+ on my bench, 30+ on my squats, 20+ on my military, and I think 15? On my power cleans, along with putting me over 300 again for my maxin DL's. At any rate, fast workout today because game is on in an hour....It needs to be a blowout because I also got a 5 year olds bday party to go to at 3. If OSU is fagging it up today kid's outa luck, lol.

Stretch

Squat

* = Possible PR? Not 100% sure.
**= PR

Cool Down

2.25 mile Bike Ride, 6:15 time.

FINAL NOTES:

Considering it's a reset, and considering I left work early because I felt like ass, glad I made myself go on and still do this. Was a n1 workout overall. Was talking to some of the trainers there. Matt won this years pump and run with a 18 minute run time in the 5k, and did 34 reps of his bw. 34? That's just retarded. I jokingly said I had his number next year... yeah I think at my best I can currently toss up 16 reps at my bw, and well, let's not talk about the 5k.

Anyways good times.

Yeah, got a year to train for it, so no worries right now. If I keep increasing my max strength, the rest will fall in line ofc.

As always, t4t on the encouragement.

Decent workout. I don't know if the 10 @ 160 is a pr or not, but if not it's close. My left elbow has been KILLING me, but at least during the workout it wasn't an issue. Dunno what's wrong with it. Hope it's not serious.

Try alternating your grip when you deadlift.

I will.

Though it doesn't bother me during deadlifts. It's more like if I try and curl or anything like that. :donno: Maybe tendentious (sp?) in the elbow? Going to get back on glucosimine.

I was actually talking about grip, alternating helps a lot.The elbow I have no idea, I've been fortunate enough never to be injured so far.

Oh. Yeah I do an over/under. I thought you were saying switch back and forth on those. My bad. My grip right now feels like it'll totally give out on anything higher than 325 ish.

You can try that too.Chalk is also an option as is straps although I don't recommend straps.

Chalk on deadlifts imo not straps...

I use straps on shrugs because anything over 315 I cannot do normal grip with...

I think wendler recommends high rep barbell shrugs to improve grip along with kroc rows and both have helped me, I rep 225 for 10-20+ reps shrug without grip giving out on me

Today's workout was interrupted by the death of one of our Ratties (Benjamin Templeton). He was just 13 months old, poor guy.

Log though so I know what I did do.

Warmup 5 min walk
stretch

Squats:

135 x 5
200 x 5
200 x 5
200 x 7

Standing Military Barbell:

Bar x 10
95 x 5
110 x 5

Received the call after that, so left the gym.

Elbow remains fucked. No clue when I'll be able to go back into the gym. : /. No insurance, so can't get it looked at.

Elbow finally feels more than 80%. Odd aches and pains now and then... but I think lifting might be able to be done if I'm smart about it.

Motivation completely gone though. Go figure. Might wind up doing p90x again to build up a base amount of fitness and joint strength, then 5/3/1 but start on just a stupid low weight amount.

Elbow hasn't gotten any better since Jan, might be worse. I probably need surgery. Wife has been off 6 months now, close to being fucking homeless, and I'm in constant fucking pain.

Can't afford to go to the gym... can't afford anything. I work my ass off so the kid can stay up all night with the wife and both sleep all fucking day.

I hate this bullshit.

nope people just make excuses so they can feel comfortable about failing. one income family is stupid in itself. parenting isn't 50/50 (you take care of the kids, i work) it's 100/100.

you're jewish so whatever you say about money is null. go buy a $2000 computer or something
