yo, am working on a criminal justice organization and theory paper, concentrating on the effects that police organizational models have on deterrence.

sources need to be peer reviewed ofc.

:dunno: if you have any past sources saved on your comp that may be similar to my needs.

thanks

Im clearly sure what you are looking for, have any examples of the stuff?

My first thought goes to compstat but thats clearly a organizational model or theory...it sounds like you are looking for more personnel related shit such as Webers principles of management and etc

:donno:

as of right now,

1. i have an article about a shift from compliance to a deterrent model of policing
2. an article talking about compstat and its effects on deterrence because of an increased flow of information(but as you pooped, kinda off topic, dunno if i'll use)

as for whether organizational/personnel related, I'm sure i can probably make the argument with either.

my professor wants at least 2 theoretical sources, and i do clearly know what he means by that, he's given examples of articles in class to read, but it doesn't make them any easier to find when our databases are terrible, did most of my research on my friend's name on a different universities site... illiad takes too long or gets rejected

the asshole by john van maanen - talking about the necessity of sticking with a traditional model of policing vs. professional

banana time by Donald f. roy - looking at how humor is injected into a tayloristic work environment to increase job satisfaction and thereby production

its seems like they're more of ethnographies versus send me back a survey and i'll crunch numbers and interpret/theorize from there
