swedish from the other hand belong same language group as english [german-roman] and besides that they are related there are many borrowed swedish/nordic words in english
it will be much easier to learn

then you must know that there is two major language groups in scandinavia: nordic and finnish
finnish language belongs finno-ungric group, which have no relationship with other scandinavian languages
nordic languages are all the rest, except maybe faroese [spoken on faroe islands]
and islandic despite that it belongs same group, we have hard time understanding them
but most of swedish, norvegian and danish ppl can understand each other
