In the process of compiling my top 10 of '10 list and listening to a bunch of new things.

Best that I have heard / candidates for top 10

Nevermore - The Obsidian Conspiracy
(also good)
The Acacia Strain - Wormwood
Autopsy - The Tomb Within

Dillinger Escape Plan - Option Paralysis
Immolation - Majesty and Decay
Sick of It All - Based on a True Story

Agalloch - Marrow of the Spirit

These tragically long songs remind me of Venom's "At War With Satan". Not a track on this record should have clocked in over four minutes, but they could've stretched this material even more if they didn't forget about every riff after they played it. I forgot all the riffs after I heard them, the second time through was even more painful as it just dragged on for far too long.

Black Breath - Heavy Breathing

Listened to it once so far and it sounds good, they have some good riffs, wicked tone, and they can put songs together. Going to need a few more listens, but I like this one.

Also going to check out Deftones' album once I get through this list, I heard a few songs and liked them. Possibly seeing them play with Dillinger Escape Plan in May.

i saw agalloch two weeks ago and they basically admitted that they weren't happy with the new album, because they didn't play a single track from it. the new enslaved was decent but it didn't stand out at me, it was boring and i probably won't listen to it again.
