Maryland expressed interest and he listened, who wouldnt? It would be foolish not to.

The point of him being an east guy is he is more than likely to want to be back in that region. All of his recruiting contacts are in the east due to his history and recruiting in college sports is about your connections. Also there were some initial reports that he had coveted the Maryland job for whatever reason

yeah, that's all i'm saying

the md job is actually fairly attractive, the recruiting is just ridiculous around the state and DC
also md's athletics are ridiculous (football and basketball not withstanding), and they definitely will pay very well
unfortunately it is a pretty terrible time, i still expect them to get a very reasonable coach

texas tech guy sure won a lot of games but seems like they hired whoever they could get at this point
either way if he can recruit the area then they should be pretty good in a few years
