There is no debate that Jax is by far the most bad ass person on the show. He's the only one with leadership qualities. Clay is good at assuming power and identifying himself as the leader, but doesn't do any real leading.

I think the only one of those moments Clay had was after Gemma got raped and thought he wouldn't want her anymore, and he came into the office and threw her on the desk like "I want my wife". Certainly an ending that made you feel good.

I agree, its just when I heard it it made me think about why the director chose to include that into the scene. Maybe I'm just too analytical, in college I took a film analysis course where I was conditioned to notice every little part of a shot (visual, audio, clothing, positioning, lighting, etc) completely intentional and deliberate for a reason. Maybe I'm reading too much into things.

i will have to go back and watch it, i didnt think it was the limb breaking, just plain sound effects showcasing the stress a body would have on it, and bones breaking. it just didnt seem like a "foreshadowing" moment, more of a closing moment imo.

ok, watched it again. i hear what you mean, but the space between a supposed limb breaking and the supposed body hitting the ground from only a couple feet up was too spread apart. though i will say that door is possibly open.

i'm saying, the first sound could have been the branch snapping, but not necessarily breaking so that he started falling right away.

went back and watched the end a few times and imo the sounds just dont match

so it's assumed that clay taking out the phone was to confirm the hit on tara even though he JUST promised gemma he wouldn't do it?

as said before, the thing that really makes this show good is just how much i fucking hate clay, and how you just knew he was going to make that call
i thought for sure as that scene opened gemma would off unser, was surprised as how much diplomacy she showed, and is showing with tara. i can seriously see her having to choose at some point, clay or jax, and she choosed jax but goes down with clay, tragic greek style
why the fuck didnt juice immediately go to the club, say "yo, im half black, i know how this is but im here for you. kill me if you must". now hes getting played endlessly by season 3 douchbag law enforcement character

yes, though im sure it could have been anything. except that he didnt dial, or actually go to the phone book. as the dude from the cartel said, there is only one number on there. so the groundwork to the assumption is laid pretty clear. though its another perfect opportunity to present one thing, not leave any real solid clues, but do something different

clay called in the hit, jax is going with, hit cant be backed out of, jax saves tara, jax knows something is up, tara tells jax some things from the letters, at which point im really not sure how things go. somehow otto and munson still come into play, opie has to find out dad is offed, wants revenge, clay guides club against the blaxs, no idea what else with as many twists as this show manages to take

Irish / Cartel weapons deal, somethings obviously going to go down there.
