is it closer to morrowind or oblivion in terms of difficult/leveling/traveling

its just the oblivion engine retooled a bit yeah?

i bought some conjure fire antorach spell, that at level 8 or whatever i was used up ALL my mana but was strong enough to kill the yeti

its a new engine entirely. so far its like oblivion in that its easy to find your quests, travel, and whatnot, but more like morrowind in that you have to put effort into leveling, finding items, etc

If you can play on your PC I would highly suggest it. User created mods/patches will make this game live on for years. Plus you can always plug in a 360 controller if you really want to.

Also, I spent 3 hours just running around in the most northeastern part of the map today. There's just ice floats and bears and walruses, what the hell.

That's what I did. It's actually very stable for a Bethesda game, I'm really impressed with it so far.

made my second char, because i fk'd up with first with skill placement
progress so far: level 36 redguard, one hand main skill, mostly melee, full daedra armor
snow trolls and giants die in 2-3 hits
