Few bands i've seen from last two festivals that i hadent heard of before that blew me away:

The Sheepdogs - I think ones the black keys produced last album
Brother and Bones - Good, hard, rock
Only Joe - Pretty much the best ska band i've ever seen (Maybe it was the drugs and the rainbow changing lights behind them)
Mamas Gun - Funk soul rock, nice and chilled
La Morte Subrite - Progressive gypsy infused rock... wierd but awesome
Electric Swing Circus - Swing music remixed
Caravan Palace - Similar to Electric Swing, dancy swing music, very cool.

Listened through this a few times during the bus trips to army and back. Kind of different compared to most Swans albums, I mean, the songs are often long and consist of almost psychedelic instrumental parts before Gira steps in halfway through the song. Most of the songs are like a journey on their own, which is kind of different compared to for example White Light...'s more approachable songs. Still, the usual harsh and repetitive Swans sound is present with a few new tricks. Definitely needs more listens, you can't expect to "get" the album with a few listens when some of the songs are over 20 minutes long. Favorite songs so far: Song for a Warrior, Avatar and The Apostate (mostly the latter half), which all happen to be on CD 2.

I love how this song builds up.

Downloading ZZT - Partys Over Earth Remixes right now, listening to Jon Convex - Idoru. ZZT is not really my cup of tea but the people who are in this remix album are interesting, Erol Alkan, Julio Bashmore, Justice and Proxy to name a few.

The 'new' AnCo song called Today's Supernatural is pretty bananas. Really cheers me up in the army.

i p much love everything blu does, i know most people don't , i thought his verses were practically stellar on this, great followup to bth but

exile killed it so much more, his production was absolutely nuts. rare moment when the production on a blu record captures more of my attention than the rhymes

can't fucking wait for the vinyl to get here, theyve been having problems with the suppliers for the actual boxes, hopefully its shipped soon

Swans coming here in March, might go. Absolutely love their earlier work but not that huge fan of The Seer (especially CD1, 2 is far better imo) despite several listens. Maybe it works better live. I do want to see Gira though.

Can't remember when is the last time I've been this excited about an electronic release. Also listened to the new Nosaj Thing album, I thought it lacked the great atmosphere from Drift. My expectations were a lot higher to be honest.

This got me to listen to Fever Ray again because I haven't listened to that in like a year (unlike The Knife) and just wanted to 'prepare' myself for the new album. My reaction: holy shit. This hits a lot harder than I remembered. Seems like I missed a lot of details despite listening to this album a lot a year or two ago. Keep The Streets Empty For Me is probably my favorite song off the album. Spektre mix of Triangle Walks is great too in a totally different way.

Got some sweet stuff from a share thread yesterday, still haven't listened to all. This guy Bitch Ass Darius blew my mind though. Yes I know the name is ridiculous and so are his track titles but still this is some of the freshest electronic music I've heard in a while. A lot of samples, only recognized one so far: It Takes 2 is pretty much Oizo's and Carmen Castro's(?, haven't listened to that album in a while) 2 Takes It just in a higher pitch and with Darius' hyper beats.

2deep4me, sounds like a computer having hiccups on the verge of breakdown. I don't understand what people see in this. Maybe you need some top tier headphones to catch the subtler things.
