espn is the sole reason conferences even have stations imo. pre espn we had the game of the week on nbc followed by the weekly fucking notre dame game. it was quite bad before espn picked up the conferences and started showing 5 games a day

nba is great full season, few realize that/cares because there are other sports going on during most of its season [ie pre-allstar break]

espn doesn't suck the nba's dick, its just the nba is the only league that has come close to mastering how to integrate social media into its business plan

its long because those poor athletes cant play more than 3 games a week since the nba like to have games on key nights. and the longer the season the more exposure everything/everyone gets
