i got few questions about WoW
as a newbe which one should i get? first one or better to get all of them as long price is low? http://eu.blizzard.com/store/browse.xml?f=...197,p:221004377
and what happens with your chars when for some reason you haven't paid your monthly fee? do your chars get deleted or just freeze?

your chars never get deleted
and for you to get any taste of what wow is like you need to be playing the most current version. i guess you could just start with the battlechest and level up and do a few instances to get an understanding of what the game is like but it still wont be the same

good luck, game is awesome and then the game is a requirement.

bought the game with 3 months subscription, atm lvl 23
looks like i will not play this game for long either
first of all, for a new player game looks way too overwhelming and many miles long of guides and FAQ's on wow forums does not help either
but most important, it seems that game is build around "pro's" and their wishes so there is no place for casual players, which i wish this game would be

Exactly how I felt, I watched my friend play it once and I got a headache with everything on the screen.

while there is a mountain of info in your quest to min/max, you wont even remotely need to worry about that until max level. at your level just play around with skills, and use the guide only to help pick what type of char you want a tank/dps warrior, or healer/dps priest etc. the rest is total overkill for leveling up. you can proal even do beginner pick-up raids in scrub gear and bad builds. its not until you want to join a guild to actually raid that you will need to start understanding your char. same with pvp.

in short wow is 50% for casuals also, they have done a great job at making sure the casual would have fun. there are not 10 million accounts all hardcore raiding nerds, many just play and have fun.
