still have that england game, its going well, gandhi has 1 city left


started a new game, japanese regular conditions, continents, trying a full military style. didnt do anything but kill barbarians to provoke either civ, but now both the aztecs and egyptians are at war with me, good thing i kept enough gold to become allies with this citystate for my survival

started another jap game, didnt have any iron this time but there was a citystate near me with 4 iron and i scouted it early enough to save my cash to buy allies with it

ottomans declared war on me after like 30 turns for no real reason, sent in 5 warriors and i was able to defend with my capital city and 1 spearman long enough to build an archer and bring it in

since i was teching toward military, had an iron source, and had aggressive/close enemies, went all out military strength for timing push @ swordsman/catapults, walked through the ottomans, took 1 city then their capital, then 2 more cities toward the persians who shared borders with both of us

after i took the city on the persian border, it was perfect timing for another timing attack with 4 swordsman->samurai

took 2 civs capitals before 1000 ad

Techs scale down in beaker cost for every civ that already has it learned, but only if you've already met them. This makes exploration / meeting all the civs, even more important.

really hurting my city growth being in unhappiness for 100 turns in a row

not necessarily true
some civs denounce and see you as a warmonger but forget about it later

the underlying civ ai makes permanent decisions along the course of the game about how they see you
you can always check this by trading them 1 gpt for 22 gold. anything less than 22 is a perm fuck you

- Two top-of-screen messages added to explain what is going on with intercepts (one for if the attacking air unit is eliminated, and another if he is just damaged).

- Fix auto-scrolling between turns. If a user was scrolling when a turn ended, or when combat ended, it would occasionally get “stuck” and continue scrolling.

three fighters (one unit) fly over your artillery, two of the three get shot down

next turn, same fighter unit does the same move, it has 1 or 2 less life points and 3 graphical units still
