so should I do this or the upgrade to g & k? Or, I can do one now and the other next Fri.

And buy you one of them next Fri to at least start to pay you back.

g&k is more important, the extra shit is just in case you want to be able to play even more new civs, and scenarios

darksiders 2 review after the first 1 hour of play

first impression, this is absolutely a forced sequel, but seems pretty true to the first
its also very apparent that it was rushed to release, dumb shit like subtitles that are way different from what the dialogue is actually saying
its a console port with no effort taken to change any of the interfaces for pc, the coding is bad as it requires you to basically pause the entire game, open up a full screen interface menu to do anything

all of that is all and fine, shit to be expected with any modern game that isnt a aaa premium title

theres an item system thats awkward to deal with and seems so very tightly controlled by the devs that they are giving you exactly an item every x amount of minutes/monsters so that you can progress through the storyline at the same difficulty level throughout the game without having to develop any skill or tactics

the dlcs apparently are just a ton of gear that requires level 5 (2 hours after starting the game), and i will assume will be obsolete by level 10, so hey, spend extra money and get one of these 3 free full sets of gear that youll use for an hour

the story is typical of any game, (holy shit i dont care about any of these characters, who cares whats going on, i have no motivation to keep going)

just feeling like being force fed a pile of shit game that does nothing to entertain other than mindlessly slashing an enemy 9 times to kill it, then moving on to the next enemy, then killing some bosses who have 1 move and no identity

no wonder thq is going down the shitter

hour 2/3 insight: the combat is getting more involved and difficult which makes it a bit more interesting, i still dont like the dialogue/quests much

customizing/buying new moves is good, but i think you start out with way too many combos available to you, i would rather each weapon be dynasty warriors-style where you start with 3 combo and work your way up to 7 combo/special moves/etc
