Has anyone heard him and his new band/projects lately?

Our local radio station interviewed him today and played a new song by his band. It really caught me off guard. The vocals arnt that great but the overall feel of the music screams classic thrashy and catchy rift Metallica.

To put things in perspective. I was a pretty big fan of metallica up until the release of the black album. After that, load seemed to take them off in a different direction that I wasnt crazy about.

Newstead seems to carry with him the same style of music/feel from the golden days of metallica. It is what, 12-13 years later that I am finally understanding why he left arguably the #1 band in the world. Not that I really ever sat to contemplate it but he continued with what he wanted instead of just going with the flow. Regardless of the other people in the band, christ that took some balls.

Lars is Danish therefore it is an obvious conflict of interest for a Swedish rich kid. Hence despise.
