I find myself silently cheering for the Bengals and follow them. But that might be largely due to the fact I've been to games with my uncle and that type of experience can rub off.

But I started watching football in 2000 and that's back when the Raiders were relevant and everything just fit and thought it was awesome. I wasn't pushed by my family to root for Cincy or Cleveland.

Maybe I'll have something to cheer about in years to come.

We're on the right track though, Al Davis died and recent transactions aren't that bad. But we need to get better at evaluating and developing talent.

biggest hurdle. next is to stop spending stupid money on old players over long contracts

None of the signings recently were long. Many of them have options to opt out after 1-2 years.

And it's kind of hard to convince people to come play for Oakland.

If we actually drafted well and developed talent well, wouldn't be that bad.

All good teams key players mostly come from the draft. Most teams don't become good by free agency unless you are the Broncos and sign Peyton or you are the Saints and get lucky and magically have Brees fall in your lap.

I'll agree that our off season wasn't ideal but given the circumstances I'll accept it. And I liked our draft. I'm not entirely convince on the Schaub plan but Carr could work out. Who fucking knows, but bottom line is we need to stop drafting dumpsters and then develop them and then maybe find a way to keep them when their contracts run out so we don't have another veldheer situation.

i wonder if its because of his receivers? i would have brees/brady/manning/rodgers/luck/stafford/roethlisburger above him, normally id have ryan/eli higher but they both had shit seasons last year

roethlis has 2 superbowls and continues to play well. stafford makes huge game mistakes but so does cutler and stafford is better statistically

saying cutler is because of his receivers and then saying stafford is overall better is laughable. rapesburger does have rings. so does trent dilfer and jeff hostetler. hell, sexy rex was actually close to a ring too.

one ring can be a fluke if your team's defense is incredible. two rings is not possible if your QB isn't great

still got the arm and escapability factor that is so rare in quarterbacks. rapes has got that "eyes in the back of his head" awareness to avoid the sack and bounce out of the pocket to make something happen

i don't know why but I've always loved watching him play. i hate him so bad when the pack plays the steelers but i love his football ability.

cutler has nothing about him that makes him fun to watch other than twice a year when we get to see him crying on the sidelines

haha
tbh i thought cutler would be in the top 10 at least, like 7th
jaws will probably say his receivers make him good, which is probably true. not like a rodgers who makes receivers good, then they leave and go other places (greg jennings -> minn) and they blow ass

jordy nelson 4 years 39 mil, overpaid. I thought they could have gotten him for less money, but i'm not TT or employed by the NFL or an NFL team. hopefully they can extend cobb for 5 mil average or so and it will balance out

IF YOU SAY "QB CONTROVERSY" ENOUGH TIMES LATER YOU CAN TALK ABOUT THE CONTROVERSY THAT EVERYONE IS TALKING ABOUT!

first round = forte
second = marshall
third = jeffery
fourth = cutler
fifth = bennet
sixth = bears D
seventh = gould

i don't think any other players would be fantasy relevant.

packers:
first round = lacy
second = rodgers
third = nelson
fourth = cobb
fifth = boykin?
sixth = pack D
seventh = crosby

its funny how close these teams are in fantasy (two top ten receivers, and a top 5 RB each)
